TECH 298 is a concentrated, non-foaming blend of nitric and phosphoric acids formulated for clean-in-place (CIP) applications in the food processing industry. Used during the acid phase of the CIP cycle, it effectively removes scale, mineral deposits, and inorganic soils from process lines and equipment surfaces. The phosphoric acid provides detergency and supports surface passivation, while the nitric acid’s oxidising properties and low operating pH provide additional biocidal control. Its concentrated formulation is effective at low use rates, delivering thorough and economical cleaning without causing foam build-up in CIP circuits.
