TECH 5820 is a powerful alkali cleaner, primarily designed for use in cleaning hooks, gambrels and skids used in the meat-processing industry. TECH 5820 can also be used for remedial maintenance cleaning and for degreasing factory floors that have accumulated build up

Features:

* Contains sodium hydroxide and sodium metasilicate for dual-alkaline performance.
* Contains sequestrants and water conditioning agents.
* Readily soluble.
* Removes fat, proteins, rust, oil and rail grease from ferrous metal surfaces.

Benefits:

* Metasilicate content helps retain alkalinity and provides a level of soft metal protection.
* Sequestrant and specialty surfactant mixture keeps soil from re-depositing, aids in reducing scale build up, andhelps solution to “wet out” without excess foaming.
* Safer to store and handle than a liquid solution.
* Economical and fast acting.

Directions for use:

* Depending on the type and severity of the soil, concentration rates will vary. However, a typicalrecommendation for hooks and gambrels would be between 15-20% (150-200 grams/litre of water) at atemperature of 85-100°C for 10 minutes. More time should be allowed for very heavily soiled items.
* To prepare a tank, fill it with water, and heat to 50-60°C. Start adding the powder slowly at this point, bysprinkling over the surface of the water with a scoop. (See note below.) As the water heats, continue adding thepowder until the correct amount is in the tank. Stir the solution slowly with a stainless-steel stirrer to ensurethat the powder is completely dissolved. Once the water has reached the target operating temperature, thetank is ready for use.

– Do NOT add large volumes of this product to the tank all at once. Add small amounts gradually.

– Wear full PPE for this operation. Refer to the SDS.
